Accessibility statement

ALBA is a space for genuine connection.
To ensure that connection feels accessible and inclusive for everyone, we consider barrier-free access to our digital services essential. Our goal is to design our website and mobile applications in accordance with applicable legal requirements. Temporary deviations are transparently communicated and addressed in a timely manner.

We strive to make our website and mobile applications usable for as many people as possible, regardless of individual abilities. In doing so, we follow the fundamental principles of digital accessibility and the relevant international standards, in particular the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). 

‍Current Status

ALBA is currently in its development and MVP phase. The full implementation of all digital accessibility requirements is an ongoing process that we arecontinuously advancing.

At present, we already take into account:
• clear and logical page and navigation structures
• readable font sizes and sufficient color contrast
• clear and understandable language
• an overall accessibility-conscious design of core functionalities

We do not view accessibility as a fixed state, but as a continuous responsibility.

We are continuously working to improve our services and to identify andreduce existing barriers.

Responsibility for the ongoing development of accessibility lies with themanagement in collaboration with our product and development teams.

This statement applies to:
• the website of ALBA GmbH
• the mobile application “ALBA” for iOS
• the mobile application “ALBA” for Android

It refers to the publicly accessible versions of our digital services. 

‍Legal Framework and Standards
‍
ALBA aims to provide its digital services in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and Directive (EU) 2019/882 (EuropeanAccessibility Act).
As technical standards, we refer to:• EN 301 549
• WCAG 2.1 Level AA (with consideration of WCAG 2.2) 

‍Testing and Supported Environments
‍
Current versions of iOS and Android as well as common browsers (Safari,Chrome) on macOS have been tested. The findings are incorporated into our ongoing product development.

‍Conformance Status
‍
At the time of publication, the service is partially compliant with the above-mentioned standards.
Current status by platform: Website: partially compliant, iOS App: partially compliant, Android App: partially compliant(each with reference to WCAG 2.1 Level AA)

Full implementation will be carried out gradually as part of ongoing product development.

As of the last review (12 February 2026), our digital services arepartially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

As ALBA is currently in a development and growth phase, it cannot be ruledout that certain functions or content are not yet fully accessible.

We continuously review our website and mobile applications and improve identified barriers within our product and release cycles.

Where specific deviations are identified, we document them transparently and prioritize remediation based on user relevance.

With increasing product maturity, additional technical and design measures will be implemented.

If you believe that you are disadvantaged due to insufficient accessibility of our digital services, we kindly ask you to contact us first.
